Randy Walsh owns ‘Tiger Moth World’, adventure flight specialists in Torquay. He bought a Kioti NX6020 with 4-in-1 loader to use for slashing, levelling the runways, moving dirt and ground repair. He knew the Kioti brand well, having used a lower horsepower model for five years before upgrading.
“We have 150 acres running right down to the foreshore and we need to keep them in top condition for safe landing and take-off. I’d used a 50hp Kioti and always enjoyed it. It did what I needed it to and was set up just the way I like it, and the hydrostatic transmission was fantastic.
“I’m a bit older now and with the new tractor I wanted the comfort of a well-designed cabin with air-conditioning. I knew Kioti would have exactly what I need. The NX6020 is very easy to use. Everything is where you need it to be, the fittings are very good and access is easy.
“I like the doors on Kioti tractors, too. They’ve got a good solid build and seal very well. You can see they’ll take a bit of weight without deteriorating. In the cabin, hot or freezing temperatures and those strong Torquay winds aren’t a problem; I work 1.2 kilometre straight lines with the slasher and with cruise control the tractors just rolls on.
“The Kioti makes it so easy and comfortable, like a home away from home. I can sit in it all day if I want to, listen to the radio and have lunch with the kangaroos. If I’m working at night, the lighting is great. Kioti’s NX6020 is a fantastic tractor.”
